India assumed the presidency of the Group of Twenty (G20) on 1 December 2022 and will hold the presidency till 30 November 2023. This is a proud moment for all citizens of India as our country is heading the premier forum for international economic cooperation. G20 plays a vital role in shaping and strengthening global architecture and governance of all major international economic issues. The government of India has initiated various activities as part of the G20 through its Ministries to enable us, the citizens to understand India’s role and contribution to the G20. Ministry of Education has also mooted various activities for students, teachers, parents and all those interested. . This Quiz, Life Style for Environment (LIFE) is one of the activities.

Environment and its conservation is one of the current concerns of the world today. India is committed to protection of our mother earth and sustainable development. Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi stresses for ‘one word movement,’ LI.F.E (Life Style for Environment) as a mass movement of environmental conscious life style for a harmonious life. The quiz on Life Style for Environment (Li.F.E.) aims at enabling young learners like you in school to be conscious of the environment in which we live and the need to protect and sustain for our good and for our future generations to inherit to be passed on to generation after generations.

The main objectives of the quiz competition are to

1.     Create an awareness on the importance of protecting our environment and its need for human coexistence;
2.     Promote an understanding among citizens about the Millennium Development Goals  and  sustainable development and their role in an environment friendly life;

Terms and Conditions.

1. The Quiz questions are designed carefully to assess the knowledge and understanding about the life style for environment.
   यह प्रश्नोत्तरी पर्यावरण के लिए जीवन शैली से समबन्धित ज्ञान और समझ का आकलन करने हेतु तैयार की गयी है।
2. Each question in the Quiz is in the Multiple Choice Format and has only one correct answer.
   इस प्रश्नोत्तरी में प्रत्येक प्रश्न बहुविकल्पीय प्रारूप में है और इसमें केवल एक ही सही उत्तर है।
3. Each Question carries 1 mark. Participants are required to attempt all questions in total.
   प्रत्येक प्रश्न 1 अंक का है। प्रतिभागियों को सभी प्रश्नों का प्रयास करना आवश्यक है।
4. The Quiz questions are prepared in both Hindi and English.
   प्रश्नोत्तरी के प्रश्न हिंदी और अंग्रेजी माध्यमोंमें तैयारकी गयी हैं। आप उत्तर देने के लिए इनमे से किसी  एक माध्यम का चयन कर सकते हैं।
5. You are allowed to attempt the Quiz only once and only one option will be accepted for a question.      However, you may revise your answer before final submission

As a part of Republic Day Celebrations, 2023, an online quiz competition on the theme of “Women Empowerment/Participation in Indian Armed Forces” is being conducted by the Ministry of Defence in coordination with MyGov to embed a patriotic feeling amongst our young generation and masses. गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह, 2023 के एक भाग के रूप में, “महिलाओं के सशक्तिकरण हेतु भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों में बढ़ती भागीदारी” विषय पर एक ऑनलाइन क्विज प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन रक्षा मंत्रालय द्वारा देश की युवा पीढ़ी और जनता के बीच देशभक्ति की भावना जगाने के उद्देश्य से माईगव के समन्वय में किया जा रहा है।

2. The criteria for selection of successful winners will be “Maximum Correct Answers in the Shortest Time”, subject to the stipulation of 20 questions attempted and 05 minutes duration. In case of multiple participants score the same number of correct answers, MyGov will make a random selection.
3. An individual is permitted to participate only once in a particular quiz.
4. The quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks the ’Start Quiz‘ button
5. Anyone who desires to participate in the quiz must provide their name, father’s/mother’s name, date of birth, correspondence address, email address and mobile number.
6. The same mobile number and same email ID cannot be used more than once for participation in the quiz.
7. Discovery/detection/noticing of use of any unfair/spurious means/malpractices, including but not limited to impersonation, double participation etc., during the participation in the quiz will result in the participation being declared null and void and hence, rejected. The organisers of the quiz competition or any agency acting on their behalf reserve the right.
8. Employees directly or indirectly connected with organising the quiz are not eligible to participate. This ineligibility also applies to their immediate family members.
9. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of India and its territories.

1. The Quiz questions are designed carefully to assess the knowledge and understanding about the G-20.
   यह प्रश्नोत्तरी G 20 के बारे में ज्ञान और समझ का आकलन करने हेतु तैयार की गयी है।
2. Each question in the Quiz is in the Multiple Choice Format and has only one correct answer.
   इस प्रश्नोत्तरी में प्रत्येक प्रश्न बहुविकल्पीय प्रारूप में है और इसमें केवल एक ही सही उत्तर है।
3. Each Question carries 1 mark. Students are required to attempt all questions in total.
   प्रत्येक प्रश्न 1 अंक का है। छात्रों को सभी प्रश्नों का प्रयास करना आवश्यक है।
4. The Quiz questions are prepared in both Hindi and English.
   प्रश्नोत्तरी के प्रश्न हिंदी और अंग्रेजी माध्यमों  में तैयार की गयी हैं। आप उत्तर देने के लिए इनमे से किसी एक माध्यम का चयन कर सकते हैं।
5. You are allowed to attempt the Quiz only once and only one option will be accepted for a question.      However, you may revise your answer before final submission
   आपको केवल एक बार प्रश्नोत्तरी का प्रयास करने की अनुमति है और एक प्रश्न के लिए केवल एक विकल्प स्वीकार किया जाएगा। हालांकि, आप अंतिम सबमिशन/प्रस्तुतीकरण से पहले अपने जवाब को संशोधित कर सकते हैं।
6. After responding to a question, click on the “Next Question” button to go to the next question.

About Quiz

“Swaraj: Bharat ke Swatantra Sangram ki Samagra Gatha” is a 75-episodic mega serial that brings to life the stories of the unsung heroes who sacrificed and fought for India over 450 years ago but remain unheard and unknown to this day despite their sacrifices.

Against the context of key events and an ever – advancing colonizing force “Swaraj” relives the stories of unsung heroes who fought for the idea of “Swa” – swabhoomi, swabhasha, swadharm, swadheenta. In this journey of Swaraj, centuries will pass, eras will change, but India will never forget about the sacrifices made by our warriors who fought for our “SWARAJ” – an emergence of a nation of heroes.

The telecast timing of “Swaraj” will be from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and the “Swaraj Quiz” will be aired on DD National on every Sunday after the telecast of an episode of “Swaraj”. At the end of each episode of “Swaraj”, 3 questions will be asked based on that particular episode and 4 options will be presented to choose from for each question, respectively.

3. The Swaraj Quiz will be asked every week after the telecast of the latest episode of “Swaraj”./ “स्वराज” के नवीनतम एपिसोड के प्रसारण के बाद हर हफ्ते स्वराज क्विज़ आयोजित की जाएगी।
4. The quiz will consist of 3 questions with 4 options each to choose to be answered in 60 seconds./ क्विज़ में 3 प्रश्न होंगे, जिनमें से प्रत्येक के लिए 4 विकल्प दिए जाएंगें, जिनका उत्तर 60 सेकंड में देना होगा।
5. The quiz will start at 9:55 AM on every Sunday and the entries will close at 10:00 PM on every Wednesday, after which the viewers will not be able to answer the questions of that respective week./ क्विज़ प्रत्येक रविवार को 9:55 AMबजे शुरू होगा और प्रविष्टियां प्रत्येक बुधवार को रात 10:00 बजे तक दी जा सकेगी, जिसके बाद दर्शक संबंधित सप्ताह के प्रश्नों का उत्तर नहीं दे पाएंगे।
6. The viewers can answer these questions by visiting the Government of India website- https://quiz.mygov.in/ddswaraj/दर्शक इन सवालों के जवाब भारत सरकार की वेबसाइट- https://quiz.mygov.in/ddswaraj/ पर जाकर दे सकते हैं।
7. 10 winners will be chosen through a lucky draw of all the viewers who participate in the Swaraj Quiz and select the correct answer to the question. Their names will appear on the DD National screen after the airing of the weekly “Swaraj” episode./ लकी ड्रॉ के माध्यम से स्वराज क्विज़ में सही जवाब देने वाले सभी दर्शकों में से 10 विजेताओं का चयन किया जाएगा। साप्ताहिक “स्वराज” एपिसोड के प्रसारण के बाद उनके नाम डीडी नेशनल स्क्रीन पर दिखाए जाएंगें।

10. You will be required to provide your name, email address, telephone number and postal address. 14. 17. Organizers reserve all rights to disqualify or refuse participation to any participant if they deem participation or association of any participant which is detrimental to the Quiz or the Organizers or partners of the Quiz. The registrations shall be void if the information received by the Organizers is illegible, incomplete, damaged, false or erroneous./ आयोजकों के पास किसी भी प्रतिभागी की भागीदारी या शामिल होने को अयोग्य ठहराने या अस्वीकार करने के सभी अधिकार सुरक्षित हैं, जो क्विज़ या आयोजकों या क्विज़ के भागीदारों के लिए हानिकारक लगेंगे। यदि आयोजकों को दी गई जानकारी अस्पष्ट, अधूरी, क्षतिग्रस्त, झूठी या गलत है तो पंजीकरण रद्द हो जाएगा।

The objective of the quiz is to increase citizen’s awareness on India’s freedom movement –

• To share knowledge, facts and unknown incidents on freedom fighters, with special focus on Kakori Divas.
• To increase awareness on freedom fighters and their struggle to get freedom for the country, under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The online BHASHA UTSAV QUIZ on MyGov platform is organised on the occasion of the celebration of the Bharatiya Bhasha Diwas on 11 December 2022 to encourage students, teachers, parents and those interested in languages and language learning to participate and know about India’s linguistics diversity, languages and multilingual characteristics of the country. The quiz questions are designed to enable learners to be aware of the place and role of languages in one’s life, education and in society as a whole.  

Objectives of the Quiz  

1. To create an awareness among learners, teachers and parents about the linguistic diversity and multilingual characteristics of India through language learning;

2. To celebrate India’s linguistic and cultural  diversity through languages in school;

Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) was launched on 15th August 2020 by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in the 272 most vulnerable districts to substance use in the country. Through NMBA, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment intends to create awareness on mass level on substance use through the participation of its major stakeholders like youth & adolescents, women, educational institutions and the community at large.

Since its launch, lively discussions have started taking place on substance use in public spheres like educational institutions, community areas and virtual spaces like social media which have prompted those who need help to seek counselling, treatment & rehabilitation services. The quiz is organised by MyGov the Department of Legal Affairs to celebrate the Constitution Day to create awareness amongst the Indian citizens about the Constitution and its special features, particularly Fundamental Duties, as enshrined in the Constitution.

The Cyber Quiz aims to raise awareness and to sensitisatise the public at large. It seeks to generate sustained awareness among the public, especially among vulnerable sections and groups on ‘cyber hygiene’.

The quiz is organised by the Department of Legal Affairs to celebrate Cyber Jaagrookta (Awareness) Diwas for propagating cyber hygiene as a mass awareness campaign with a specific focus on Cyber frauds, Phishing, Bullying, Virus attacks etc. and ways to stay safe.

About Quiz,

To accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage, Swachh Bharat Mission was launched on 2nd October 2014. Under the mission, all villages, Gram Panchayats, Districts, States and Union Territories in India declared themselves “open-defecation free” (ODF) by 2 October 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, by constructing over 100 million toilets in rural India. To ensure that the open defecation free behaviour are sustained, no one is left behind, and that solid and liquid waste management facilities are accessible, the Mission is moving towards the next Phase II of SBMG i.e. ODF-Plus.

ODF Plus activities under Phase II of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) will reinforce ODF behaviours and focus on ODF sustainability and providing interventions for the safe management of solid and liquid waste in villages i.e. to convert the villages from ODF to ODF Plus by 2024-25. 

There is a huge scope and greater need for creating mass awareness on various components of ODF Plus among the common masses and students. The Quiz competition is designed to instil among the masses an awareness and understanding of Sanitation and SBM-G Phase II, its importance in triggering behavior change and desirable actions and practices for promoting ODF Plus.

The objectives are

Millets are a collective group of small seeded annual grasses that are grown as grain crops, primarily on marginal land in dry areas of temperate, sub-tropical and tropical regions. Climate Resilient Millets grown in 131 countries. Ancient food grains first plants domesticated for food – Earliest evidence found in Indus civilization dates back to 3000 BC. Millets traditional food for 59 crore people

The U.N. General Assembly adopted a resolution, sponsored by India and supported by more than 70 countries, declaring 2023 as the International Year of Millets. The resolution is intended to increase public awareness on the health benefits of millets and their suitability for cultivation under tough conditions marked by climate change. 

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is the nodal agency for the International Year of Millet (IYoM)-2023 celebrations. In fact, India is now taking the lead in popularizing the theme in a strong manner at the international level through various campaigns.

To commemorate this important occasion, the quiz is being organized for the International Year of Millets in 2023.

“Swaraj: Bharat ke Swatantra Sangram ki Samagra Gatha” is a 75-episodic mega serial that brings to life the stories of the unsung heroes who sacrificed and fought for India over 450 years ago but remain unheard and unknown to this day despite their sacrifices.

Against the context of key events and an ever – advancing colonizing force “Swaraj” relives the stories of unsung heroes who fought for the idea of “Swa” – swabhoomi, swabhasha, swadharm, swadheenta. In this journey of Swaraj, centuries will pass, eras will change, but India will never forget about the sacrifices made by our warriors who fought for our “SWARAJ” – an emergence of a nation of heroes.

The telecast timing of “Swaraj” will be from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM and the “Swaraj Quiz” will be aired on DD National on every Sunday after the telecast of an episode of “Swaraj”. About Quiz

The Shoonya — Zero-Pollution Mobility campaign is a corporate-led initiative hosted by NITI Aayog that promotes the use of EVs for urban deliveries and ride hailing. Shoonya, meaning ’zero’ in Sanskrit,  implies the beginning and origination of possibilities. Inspired by this connotation, the Shoonya campaign plans to revolutionise the transport sector with a radical and urgent transition to zero-emission vehicles. The campaign has three key components:

1) Consumer Awareness Drive uses traditional and digital media to highlight the health and environmental benefits of EVs

2) Corporate Branding Programme recognises the efforts made by industry partners towards vehicle electrification by using a Shoonya seal on EVs, parcels, chargers, and driver

To accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage, Swachh Bharat Mission was launched on 2nd October 2014. Under the mission, all villages, Gram Panchayats, Districts, States and Union Territories in India declared themselves “open-defecation free” (ODF) by 2 October 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, by constructing over 100 million toilets in rural India. To ensure that the open defecation free behaviour are sustained, no one is left behind, and that solid and liquid waste management facilities are accessible, the Mission is moving towards the next Phase II of SBMG i.e. ODF-Plus.

ODF Plus activities under Phase II of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) will reinforce ODF behaviours and focus on ODF sustainability and providing interventions for the safe management of solid and liquid waste in villages i.e. to convert the villages from ODF to ODF Plus by 2024-25. 

There is a huge scope and greater need for creating mass awareness on various components of ODF Plus among the common masses and students. The Quiz competition is designed to instil among the masses an awareness and understanding of Sanitation and SBM-G Phase II, its importance in triggering behavior change and desirable actions and practices for promoting ODF Plus.

The objectives are

1) create awareness regarding Sanitation and SBM-G Phase II.

Millets are a collective group of small seeded annual grasses that are grown as grain crops, primarily on marginal land in dry areas of temperate, sub-tropical and tropical regions. Climate Resilient Millets grown in 131 countries. The U.N. General Assembly adopted a resolution, sponsored by India and supported by more than 70 countries, declaring 2023 as the International Year of Millets. The resolution is intended to increase public awareness on the health benefits of millets and their suitability for cultivation under tough conditions marked by climate change. 

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is the nodal agency for the International Year of Millet (IYoM)-2023 celebrations. In fact, India is now taking the lead in popularizing the theme in a strong manner at the international level through various campaigns.

To commemorate this important occasion, the quiz is being organized for the International Year of Millets in 2023.

India’s coastline of more than 7,500 km reflects our vast ocean resources. Most importantly, the Indian Ocean is the only ocean named after a country, that is, India. In this context, India, being a signatory of UN “Coastal Clean Seas” campaign, a number of activities have been adopted that have direct relevance with the “Swachh Bharat” vision and has proved highly useful.

The “International Coastal Clean Up Day” is celebrated globally on the third Saturday of September, every year. This year on 17th September 2022, the Government of India along with other voluntary organizations, and the local society will run a cleanliness campaign “Swachh Sagar, Surakshit Sagar/Clean Coast Safe Sea” along India’s entire coastline.  Efforts will be undertaken to collect scientific data and information on Marine Litter in various matrices, such as coastal waters, sediments, biota, and beaches.

This campaign will be led by Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), and supported by Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), National Service Scheme (NSS), Indian Coast Guard, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Seema Jagran Manch, SFD, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), ParyavaranSanrakshanGatividhi (PSG), along with other social organizations and educational institutions.

This year’s event also coincides with the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in 75th year of the country’s independence; The coastal cleanup drive will be carried out at 75 beaches across the country with 75 volunteers for every kilometre of the coastline. The “Swachh Sagar, Surakshit Sagar/Clean Coast Safe Sea “campaign is a 75-day citizen-led campaign for improving ocean health through collective action. The campaign started on July 5th, 2022 and has 3 strategic underlying goals that target transformation and environmental conservation through behavior change.

3. Dispose Responsibly.

The campaign will culminate with the largest beach cleaning event on Sept 17, 2022 (International Coastal Cleanup Day) covering 75 beaches across India’s 7500+km coastline.It is the first-of-its-kind and longest running coastal cleanup campaign in the world with highest number of people participating in it. Through this campaign, a mass behavioural change among the masses is intended by raising awareness about how plastic usage is destroying our marine life.

This quiz is meant to test the basic awareness level of Indian citizens about our coastline, beaches and the science behind its habitat, environment and the negative impact of litter and pollution.

The first quiz will be on the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. / पहला क्विज़ उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय के तहत प्रधानमंत्री गरीब कल्याण अन्न योजना (पीएमजीकेएवाई) पर आधारित होगा।

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY) is a pro-poor package intended to reduce the challenges encountered by the poor as a result of disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The immediate goal was to ensure that no poor or vulnerable person or household went hungry. Under the scheme, all National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiaries are entitled to 5 kgs of free food grain every month. This is over and above the highly subsidised food grains available to NFSA beneficiaries.  / प्रधानमंत्री गरीब कल्याण अन्न योजना (पीएम-जीकेएवाई) गरीबों के लिए एक सहायता पैकेज है, जिसका उद्देश्य कोविड-19 महामारी के कारण उत्पन्न चुनौतियों व मुश्किलों को गरीबों के लिए कम करना है। इसका तात्कालिक लक्ष्य यह सुनिश्चित करना था कि कोई भी गरीब या वंचित व्यक्ति या परिवार भूखा न रहे। इस योजना के तहत, सभी एनएफएसए लाभार्थियों को हर महीने 5 किलोग्राम अनाज मुफ्त दिया जाता है। यह एनएफएसए लाभार्थियों को उपलब्ध सब्सिडी वाले खाद्यान्नों के अतिरिक्त है। 

All NFSA beneficiaries (Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and Priority Householders (PHH) identified by State/UT governments i.e. around 80 Crore beneficiaries are covered under PM-GKAY. They are automatically covered and can avail the free food grains from Fair Price Shops using their existing NFSA ration cards. No new ration card or registration is required. Toll-Free helpline number 1967 has been set up to redress beneficiaries’ complaints and grievances related to the Public Distribution System. Android based Mobile Application ‘Mera Ration’ (https://tinyurl.com/fp2tmd97) can be used by beneficiaries to view their NFSA as well as PM-GKAY food grain allotment and balance quota. The facility is currently available for those beneficiaries who are successfully verified in the central ration card repository. The app is currently available in 13 languages viz. Assamese, English, Hindi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi and Bangla, and can be downloaded freely from the Google Play Store for Android mobiles. National War Memorial was inaugurated and dedicated to the Armed Forces of the Nation by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 25 Feb 2019. It has the names of approximately 26,500 battle casualties of Army Navy & Airforce since Independence, engraved on the honour walls of Tyaag Chakra. This is a humble gesture by the ever grateful nation to the supreme sacrifice made by the Armed Forces personnel.

The Memorial is completing three years of its dedication to the nation on 25th February 2022.

On this occasion, a Quiz Competition is being organized by National War Memorial and MyGov to extend the celebration of nationalism and patriotism across India.

Hon’ble Prime Minister, based on recommendations of the Group of Secretaries, decided to set up a dedicated e market for different goods & services procured by Government Organisations / Departments / PSUs. This meant transforming DGS&D to a digital ecommerce portal for procurement and selling of goods and services. Government e Marketplace (GeM), created in a record time of five months, facilitates online procurement of common use Goods & Services required by various Government Departments / Organisations / PSUs. GeM aims to enhance transparency, efficiency and speed in public procurement.

Currently, GeM has over 43 lakh products, 37 lakh sellers and Service providers. A large part of the latter is MSMEs. We would like to invite more and more sellers, including MSEs, start-ups, women entrepreneurs from all over the country to know about GeM, join GeM and enhance their business prospects by catering the requirements of the largest purchasers ie. the Government and PSUs.

Cyber space in a complex and dynamic environment of interactions among people, software and services supported by worldwide distribution of information and Communication Technology (ICT) devices and networks.

On one hand, cyber space, which cuts across global boundaries has brought in the latest innovative technologies and modern gadgets, while on the other hand, it has inevitably led to increased dependencies on computer resources and internet-based professional, business and social networking. The exponential increase in the number of internet users in India clubbed with rapidly evolving technologies has also brought in its own unique challenges, besides aggravating the existing problems of misinformation and attempting to disrupt critical information and Information Technology networks.

To felicitate a sense of cyber awareness and cyber security, Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs is running this Quiz, the details of which are mentioned in the succeeding paragraphs.

Successful participants would be provided with a Participation Certificate, which can be downloaded after completion of the Quiz.

The Quiz will be open from 25th January 2022 to 24th February 2022.

The Government of India has initiated several measures to transform agriculture to ensure the increased income of farmers during the last six years. Efforts have also been made to promote and support initiatives leading to sustainability of the system, cost reduction, market access, and better value realization for farmers. Some of these efforts include the launch of 1.0 lakh crore Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) for the creation of a postharvest value chain and 10,000 FPOs scheme for empowering farmers to access the markets etc.

Natural Farming has also been identified as a promising tool to minimize the dependence of farmers on purchased inputs and also to restore soil health. It emphasizes on the shift of agriculture practices from mono-crops to diversified multi-cropping systems. Desi cow, its dung, and urine play an important role from which various inputs such as Beejamrit, Jivamirit, and Ghan-Jivamrit are made on the farm and are the source of nutrients & life to the soil. Other traditional practices such as mulching the soil with biomass or keeping the soil covered with green cover around the year, even in the very low water availability situations are added practices that ensure sustained productivity even from the first year of adoption To emphasize such strategies and to deliver messages to farmers in far-flung areas of the country, the Government of Gujarat under the leadership of Hon’ble Governor Acharya Dev Vrat Ji is organizing a National Summit on Agro and Food Processing from 14th December to 16th December 2021 at Anand Gujarat.

Namami Tate is an initiative of the Ministry of Earth Sciences under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. This initiative intends to raise awareness regarding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG-14 Life below water) in citizen and business communities.

The world’s oceans – their temperature, chemistry, currents, and life – drive global systems that make the Earth habitable for humankind. Over 3 billion people depend on marine and coastal biodiversity for their livelihoods. However, today we are seeing 30 percent of the world’s fish stocks overexploited, reaching below the level at which they can produce sustainable yields.

Oceans also absorb about 30 percent of the carbon dioxide produced by humans, and we are seeing a 26% rise in ocean acidification since the beginning of the industrial revolution. Marine pollution, which occurs with an overwhelming majority from land-based sources, is reaching alarming levels, with an average of 13,000 pieces of plastic litter to be found on every square km of the ocean. Keeping these facts in mind, it is important that we know our ocean ecosystems and their current conditions well.

The quiz is a small step towards creating awareness and knowledge about the same. Test your knowledge on the same.

1. The Quiz is being organized by the Ministry of Earth Sciences for the purpose of creating awareness on ocean health, cleanliness of beaches, and recycling, and related topics.
2. Number of questions per quiz and the duration of the quiz is 20 Questions and 600 Seconds respectively.
3. Entry into the Quiz is open to all Indian citizens.
4. One participant can participate only once. Multiple entries from the same participant will not be considered and will be discarded.
5. Once submitted an entry cannot be withdrawn.
6. Participants from all age groups will be allowed to contest the quiz.
7. The Participant shall abide by all the rules and regulations of participating in the Quiz from time to time.
8. Organizer’s decision on the Quiz shall be final and binding and no correspondence will be entertained regarding the same.
9. By entering the Quiz, the Participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, mentioned above.
10. The quiz shall open on December 20th, 2021 at 17:00 hours (IST) and will be closed at 23:55 hours (IST) on January 19th, 2022.
11. Winners at National Level will be declared at the end of the competition. The gratification of ₹5000/-, ₹3000/- and ₹2000/- will be offered to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners respectively by the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
12. The quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks on the Start quiz button.
13. Entries received outside of these time/dates will not be valid.
14. Participants are required to update their details like name, email address, telephone number, and postal address. By submitting your contact details, you will give consent to these details being used for the purpose of the Quiz.
15. If a winner is not contactable within five working days from the result announcement, his or her prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries in accordance with the above process until a winner is selected and can be contacted. Selection, reaching out to the winners, and dispatch of mentioned prizes will be done by the Ministry of Earth Sciences and MyGov will have no role in it.
16. Organizers will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, are late or incomplete, or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s reasonable control. Quiz on Auditing and Accounting Standards in India

ABOUT QUIZ:

Background:

1. Constitution
The National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) was constituted on 01st October,2018 by the Government of India under Sub Section (1) of section 132 of the Companies Act, 2013.

2. Functions and Duties
As per Sub Section (2) of Section 132 of the Companies Act, 2013, the duties of the NFRA are to:

a. Recommend accounting and auditing policies and standards to be adopted by companies for approval by the Central Government;
b. Monitor and enforce compliance with accounting standards and auditing standards;
c. Oversee the quality of service of the professions associated with ensuring compliance with such standards and suggest measures for improvement in the quality of service;
d. Perform such other functions and duties as may be necessary or incidental to the aforesaid functions and duties.

3. NFRA Rules 2018 provides that the Authority shall protect the public interest and the interests of investors, creditors and others associated with the companies or bodies corporate governed under Rule 3 of the said Rules by establishing high quality standards of accounting and auditing and exercising effective oversight of accounting functions performed by the companies and bodies corporate and auditing functions performed by auditors. Under Section 4 (2) (e) of NFRA Rules 2018, one of the duty of NFRA is to promote awareness in relation to the compliance of accounting standards and auditing standards

4. To commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence and as a part of the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, NFRA is conducting this quiz programme on the topic ‘Auditing and Accounting Standards in India’, with the objective to promote understanding and awareness of accounting standards and auditing standards among the citizens of the country.

Terms and Conditions

1. The Organiser of the Quiz is National Financial Reporting Authority, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
2. The Quiz shall open on the MyGov portal https://quiz.mygov.in on 24th December 2021 and shall close on 26th January 2022.
3. Entry into the Quiz is open to all citizens of India. Individuals working in NFRA (permanent and contractual), and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Quiz.
4. This is a timed Quiz with 10 questions to be answered in 600 seconds. These questions will be picked randomly from the question bank.
5. Participants will be required to provide their name, email address, mobile number, and postal address etc. By submitting the contact details, the Participant will give consent to these details being used for the purpose of the Quiz. The registrations shall be void if the details filled-in by the Participants are improper or erroneous.
6. The Quiz will start as soon as the Participant clicks the Start Quiz button.
7. All the questions are available in English language only.
8. There will be no negative marking.
9. You can skip a tough question and come back to it later.
10. Once submitted an entry cannot be withdrawn.
11. A Participant can participate only once. Multiple entries from the same Participant will not be considered and will be discarded.
12. Organizers will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, are late or incomplete or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the Organizer’s control. Please note proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt of the same.
13. Winners will be declared on the basis of maximum number of correct answers.

15. If a winner is not contactable within three working days from the finalisation of result, he or she will forfeit the prize and next eligible winner will be selected in accordance with the above process.

As a part of Republic Day Celebrations, 2022, an online quiz competition on the themes of “Atmanirbhar Bharat in Defence Production and Apna Desh Apne Hathiyar” is being conducted by Ministry of Defence in coordination with MyGov.in during 05 – 20 January, 2022 in order to create patriotic feeling among youth and masses.

About Quiz

Background :

1. IEPFA comes under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

The mandate of IEPFA is to build investor awareness among various stakeholders in the rural and urban areas. The Government of India has on 7th September 2016 established the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPF Authority) under the provisions of section 125 Companies Act, 2013 to inter-alia promote investors’ education, awareness and protection apart from making refunds of shares, unclaimed dividends, matured deposits / debentures to the investors. IEPFA also strives to provide investors with requisite knowledge and skills pertaining to investor education and protection.

2. Responsibility of the Authority:

The Authority is entrusted with the responsibility of administration of the Investor Education Protection Fund (IEPF), make refunds of shares, unclaimed dividends, matured deposits/debentures, etc. to investors and to promote awareness among investors.

3. Investor Education Protection Fund (IEPF) & Its Utilization

The IEPF is to be utilized for;
• The refund in respect of unclaimed dividends, matured deposits, matured debentures, the application money due for refund and interest thereon
• Promotion of investors’ education, awareness, and protection
• Distribution of any disgorged amount among eligible and identifiable applicants for shares or debentures, shareholders, debenture-holders or depositors who have suffered losses due to wrong actions by any person, in accordance with the orders made by the Court which had ordered disgorgement
• Reimbursement of legal expenses incurred in pursuing class-action suits under sections 37 and 245 by members, debenture-holders or depositors as may be sanctioned by the Tribunal and
• Any other purpose incidental thereto, in accordance with such rules as may be prescribed: Provided that the person whose amounts referred to in clauses (a) to (d) of sub-section (2) of section 205C transferred to Investor Education and Protection Fund, after the expiry of the period of seven years as per provisions of the Companies Act, 1956, shall be entitled to get refund out of the Fund in respect of such claims in accordance with rules made under this section.

In view of the above mentioned features of IEPFA, IEPFA launched Web Form IEPF -5 for Application to the Authority for claiming unpaid amounts and shares out of Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF).

2. Salient features of the Web Form IEPF-5 initiatives are as follows :

i. Refund of the claimants becomes quicker and easier with the introduction of new web form IEPF -5.
ii. Web Form IEPF-5 acts as a single form for claim of shares, unclaimed dividends, matured deposits/debentures, etc.
iii. Filling of Web Form IEPF-5 saves time to get refunds at IEPFA, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
iv. Claimants and Shareholders can attached all the relevant documents in Web Form IEPF-5 as per the checklist provided in Web Form IEPF-5.
v. Claimants can filled the Web Form IEPF-5 with the Mobile and Email OTP Verification.
vi. Claimants get the refunds after the Company verified the claim in the E-Verification Report with the clear recommendation of Approval of claim.

3. In order to help the claimants and Shareholders to derive greater benefits to claim refunds from IEPFA, Ministry and to enthuse common citizens of India and public at large towards the initiatives of IEPFA, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs is undertaking Quiz Competition through MyGov platform designed to promote and raise awareness about various aspects of IEPFA.

Terms and Conditions

1. The Quiz is being organized by IEPFA, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
2. This is a timed quiz with 10 questions to be answered in 400 seconds. These questions will be randomly picked from the question bank.
3. Winners will be adjudged on the basis of maximum number of correct answers.
4. In case of multiple participants having given same number of correct answers, the participants who take the least time to complete the quiz will be adjudged the winner.

    About Quiz

    Dyslexia is one of the most common language-based learning disabilities. This quiz is an ingenious initiative by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Education for the purpose of creating awareness regarding Dyslexia all across the country. It is aimed to engage citizens to learn more about dyslexia, create awareness about Dyslexia, and address dyslexia hesitancy among general people by making efforts to spotlight a range of dyslexic needs, struggles, and signs by raising awareness. It provides an opportunity for the participants to assess their awareness about dyslexia, learn new facts about it and at the same time, win exciting prizes!

    The quiz will be on the theme Awareness campaign on Dyslexia.

    The aim of the quiz is to provide the participants with necessary information regarding dyslexia in a more approachable and fun way, through a quiz format.

    The Quiz contains multiple choice questions regarding dyslexia, addressing myths and general information around dyslexia.
    The overall objective of the Quiz is to generate awareness about DYSLEXIA.

    Terms and Conditions

    1. The Quiz is being organized by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Education for the purpose of creating awareness regarding Dyslexia all across the country.

    2. Number of questions per quiz and duration of the quiz is 10 Questions and 300 Seconds respectively.

    3. Entry into the Quiz is open to all Indian citizens.

    4. One participant can participate only once. Multiple entries from the same participant will not be considered and will be discarded.

    5. Once submitted an entry cannot be withdrawn.

    6. Participants from all age groups will be allowed to contest in the quiz.

    7. The Participant shall abide by all the rules and regulations of participating in the Quiz from time to time.

    8. Organizer’s decision on the Quiz shall be final and binding and no correspondence will be entertained regarding the same.

    9. By entering the Quiz, the Participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, mentioned above.

    10. The quiz shall open on October 24th, 2021 at 10:00 hours (IST) and will be closed at 23:45 hours (IST) on November 23rd, 2021.

To commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence as part of the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Ministry of Education is conducting this Quiz competition on ‘YUVA- PM’s Scheme for Mentorship of Young Authors.

As part of the “Prime Minister’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” and in tune with the PM’s vision of Global Citizen, the YUVA (Young, Upcoming and Versatile Authors) Scheme will be a social investment for a knowledge-based society, percolating the idea of appreciation of literature and language among the young creative minds. Through mentoring of the creative skills of young authors, this scheme will provide them training towards cultural and literary perspectives. While preparing them as authors and creative leaders of the future, this scheme will ensure to bring to centre stage the rich heritage of accumulated ancient wisdom.

This campaign will bring to fore the perspectives of the young generation of writers on themes like Unsung Heroes, Freedom Fighters Unknown and Forgotten Places and their role in the National Movement and other related themes in an innovative and creative manner.

This scheme will ensure creating a pool of authors in Indian Languages as well as English who are ready to express themselves and project India on any international platform, as well as it will help in projecting Indian culture and literature globally. The 75 young authors so mentored shall become proficient in writing in various genres like fiction, non-fiction, travelogues, memoirs, drama, poetry and so on.

This quiz competition would further spread the awareness about YUVA amongst aspiring young authors and writers.

About Quiz

The National Commission for Women, a Statutory Body set up in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 has the mandate to safeguard the constitutional and statutory rights of women. Keeping with its mandate, the Commission has, from time to time, taken up various initiatives to progressively increase awareness about the laws in order to generate awareness in the society against various social evils effecting rights of women and on rights and entitlements of women in the society as a whole. Also going by the belief that education is a process through which society creates the kind of individuals we wish to see in the world, the Commission is launching an Open Quiz on ‘Awareness on Crime against Women’, through MyGov Portal.

The aim of the programme is to inculcate values of equality, inclusivity and diversity, among citizens, which are essential for building a healthy society. Moreover, knowledge of laws relating to women is not only crucial for balanced development of young minds; it will also help citizens in building correct values, self-discipline and national spirit.

National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) celebrates Ganga Utsav every year to mark the anniversary of announcement of River Ganga as the ‘National River’ i.e. 4th November. This year’s Ganga Utsav is beingorganised from 1stto 3rdNovember, 2021. ‘Ganga Utsav 2021 – The River Festival’ will be celebrating not just River Ganga but all the rivers across the country.  Activities have been planned across 150 districts – 112 in the Ganga belt and the remaining along other major rivers. The celebrations this year will be part of the ongoing celebrations for 75 years of Independence and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

This year, the aim will be to take Ganga Utsav 2021 to the various river basins in India and promote the celebration of ‘Nadi Utsav’ (River Festival) which was highlighted by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion of the World River Day on 26th September 2021, in order to connect with the traditions which are associated with rivers for centuries in our country.

Inspired by the Prime Minister’s call for River Festival, this year’s event is beingorganised under the leadership of Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Dignitaries for the inaugural function will include Minister of Tourism and Culture Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Ministers of State for Jal Shakti, Shri Prahalad Singh Patel&Shri Bishweswar Tudu, Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Shri. Pankaj Kumar and many Olympic players.

The objective of the Utsav (festival) is to promote stakeholder engagement and ensure public participation under the aegis of the Ganga Knowledge Center. The Utsav highlights the significance of “Jan Bhagidari” in the revival of Ganga, with a focus on encouraging stakeholder engagement and public participation towards the rejuvenation of river Ganga.

Through Ganga Utsav, NMCG targets strengthening of the public – river connect. Since the last four years this event has acted as an important platform to establish connect with people from all walks of life.

The Utsav celebrates the mystical and cultural river Ganga through storytelling, folklore, dialogues with eminent personalities, quizzes, displaying traditional artforms, dance and music performances by renowned artists, photo galleries and exhibitions and much more. Celebrating the glory of the holy river Ganga, this year the Utsav will also appreciate living and practised cultural richness along river Ganga. Some prominent music and dance performers like Anuradha Paudwal, Prachee Shah Pandya, Rahul Sharma, RevatiSakalkar and Prahalad Tipaniya will be performing at the Utsav.

The message of river rejuvenation will be communicated through stories at Kahani Junction organised by RituparnaGosh’sYourstorybag. Himanshu Bajpai too will be performing Dastangoi. In Ganga Dialogue, well-known personalities like Ashok Chakradhar, Piyush Mishra, Divya Prakash Dubey and Rajeev Khandelwal from different fields will engage in interesting conversations.

Continuous Learning and Activity Portal (CLAP) will be launched at the Utsav. CLAP will be providing a forum for continuous year-round engagement through its portal at http://www.clap4ganga.com/(active from 1st November post formal launch). In partnership with TREE Craze Foundation, it is especially attractive to children and youth.

The Utsav also includes the launch of the promo of the movie ‘Ganga: River from the Skies’ which will be followed by a webinar, moderated by Shri. Mike Pandey, Environmentalist, Iconic Wildlife film maker and 3-time winner of the Green Oscars, joined by Shri. Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Director General, NMCG, Prof. Vinod Tare, Founding Head, C- Ganga, IIT Kanpur and Shri. Srikrishna Mohan, and Shri Ramkumar Mohan, renowned Carnatic musicians and composers of the Ganga Anthem.

An expedition ‘Ganga Mashal’ led by the Ganga Task Force would be flagged off in a ceremony from Delhi and will travel the route including 23 stations along the river Ganga which will help sensitization of the local people and bodies like NYKS, Ganga Mitras, Ganga Praharis etc. The event will also comprise, launch of the Ganga Tarang Portal, curtain raiser on Ganga Knowledge Portal and many more.

At the state level, 75 events at 75 different locations, Ganga Deepotsava, Ganga Aartis along the Ghats, Ganga Exhibitions, participation in the Meri Ganga Meri Shaan Campaign – Ganga Mashaal being executed through Ganga Task Force, and other activities like painting competition, afforestation drive, organizing blood donation camps, quiz, Ganga runs, Ganga Dialogues, signature campaigns, and others.
